National Labor Relations Board: Updates

NJ LERA is excited to host NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo, along with Union-side attorney Arnold Shep Cohen (Oxfeld Cohen), and Management-side attorney James La Rocca (Hunton Andrews) to discuss hot topics in the NLRB. The Democratic-led NLRB has issued a series of decisions including Cemex (election processes and burdens of proof), McLaren Macomb (impacting settlement agreements in the union and non-union settings), Stericycle (investigative confidentiality during investigations and work rules), and Wendt (employer unilateral changes) reversing Trump Board’s precedent-shattering decisions in the area of representation matters. While the NLRB handles only private sector matters, the NJ PERC and other public labor boards often follow NLRB precedent for guidance.
